*Formula Change!!!!*

Collin's Wish Granters!

Collin has been switched from Neocate Jr ( a predigested formula) to Peptamen Jr , which is not predigested. Basically, in order to get to a point where Collin can be off tube feeds and get the G-tube closed he needs to be able to digest normal table food without having to use tube feeds. The Peptamen Jr is not broken down (not predigested) which makes his intestines work harder. Instead of the intestines only needing to absorb (like with Neocate) they now have to break down the formula and absorb it. We did a two week formula transition, every couple of days we went up on the amount of peptamen and down on the amount of neocate. Due to the calorie and formula change we dropped Collin’s tube feed rate from 95mls per hour to 80mls per hour. When we get back from DISNEY we will work on getting him back up to 95mls per hour and will also be cutting hours! Yay!
Things have been 100% crazy here the past few months but I am hopeful that all will start to calm after our crazy busy month of May! We leave for Disney MONDAY!!!!! I cannot wait to see Collin’s face when we get there! Please continue to keep Collin in your prayers as well as all of us while we’re on our exciting vacation! We love and miss you all!
