Im in the hospital...AGAIN!!!

HELP ME!!! They wont stop sticking me. Yummy, I love eating stethoscopes!
Mommy and Daddy tried to feed me food and bottle before I was ready!!
I managed to poo allover Daddy!!!hahahahaha
I even filled up Daddy's shoe!
Look at my leg! On Monday, the doctors needed to get a peripheral IV. It took seven hours! They didn’t want it to fallout so they wrapped it with tape and gauze.

Wednesday, the vein blew and went undetected for hours. Luckily, Collin has the BEST Daddy ever (next to my Dad)! Daddy noticed Collins toes were purple, he cut off the bandages and called the nurse. The nurse called the Dr and they sent a wound specialist and a plastic surgeon. After being very worried for several hours the swelling went down and the coloring came back! Because of how hard it is to get an IV into Collin he had to go into surgery to have a temporary line placed. The line will be out in a couple of days.

I am not very happy about my leg!
Look at the stupid smiley face the nurse put on my chest to remind the Dr to place a temp central line and not to do brain surgery.
Getting ready for surgery
Mommy’s trying to keep me from getting the flu!!!
A new picture of where the vein blew. Its hard to tell but there’s a huge blister in the middle of the red. It popped today! Ewwww

Sorry to hear that you all are back in the hospital. I hope your stay is short and with a few less swollen legs. We are thinking about you in Boston.

Awww, what a poor, sad, pathetic but gorgeous and beautiful little patient! I am sure Collin has the nurses falling head over heels...as always. I am so proud of you, Erin and Matt, for doing such a great job caring for our boy!

We love you and wish we could be with you!

Sounds like Collin is doing better; his feeds have increased again and he's ceased "stooling out". Hopefully they'll be out of the hospital sometime early this week. All our love and prayers!

Darling Collin, I have been thinking and wondering for days what I could do to make you smile and to cheer up you and your parents. I wish I could be there to play "peek a boo" and kissy- monster; tickle your feet and give your parents a well-deserved break!

Be well, my little angel-grandbaby!!!

I love you with all my heart.

Love,
Grandma

Erin, I want you to know how proud I am of you...bringing that basket and all those goodies (laundry soap, disinfectant spray, the blanket, etc.) to the new mom at the hospital was such a thoughtful and sweet thing to do; not to mention that you were concerned about her while you are busy taking care of your own sick child. I am sure it meant alot to that mom, to have such a kind gesture from a stranger.

I love you very much and I am so proud of the woman you've become.

Yay! It looks like Collin will be discharged from the hospital this afternoon. He will still have his temporary central line in, so he probably won't be able to travel this weekend. Although we are a tiny bit disappointed, we know that Collin's mommy & daddy and Dr. Sudan are making all the right choices for our boy. We'll keep you all in our prayers and know that we'll be together soon!

We love you!!

Grandma and Grandpa

P.s. Thanks to Dr. Sudan, her team and all of the nurses who took care of our little family during their stint in the hospital!
