Where to start…I haven’t updated the blog in a couple months because things don’t seem to ever be quiet here. Collin’s been getting sick on and off since November 1st and since then it’s as if we’ve just been putting Band-Aids over the problem and not actually fixed anything. Well, it’s progressively gotten worse, Collin’s been unable to maintain his C02 levels few weeks ago he ended up in the hospital with a C02 of 7 (normal range is from 15-31). At that time they emergently placed a Temporary Central Line. The week following Dr. Mercer scheduled a SBS (small bowel series) and a barium enema. Based on the two tests Dr. M thinks it would be best to do a surgery. They aren’t sure if it’s dilation that’s causing the problem or possibly a portion of the small intestines that are no longer healthy and need to be removed. They can’t tell us what they’ll be doing until they do it. Collin will be going in Friday to have a permanent line place and will be having surgery in about three weeks. Please keep Collin in your prayers!

Love all of the pictures, his Easter suit was very cute and of course his party looked wonderful! He changes so much it's amazing...the pictures really help us feel connected when we are so far away; thank you for putting them up!

All of you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers, we know that Collin is going to get through this new "speed bump" and will be back to his normal self quickly!

Sending lots of love and hugs!
