Wednesday, August 15

Lord, protect your son, Collin. Amen

Such a comfort to have so many loved ones surround all of us during stressful times such as today. I know that all of Collin's grandmas and grandpas (even the "great" ones!) and his Nana and Papa V; his aunties and uncles, and mostly precious Collin are being carried today through all of your love and prayers!

I know someday in the future we will all read back on the comments left during this time and smile at the love and care showered on our little family as they begin the next leg of this journey. Grandpa N told me last night that he is so excited for the potential of this surgery for our grandbaby and he can't wait to see how this procedure takes Collin to the next stage in his life.

As always, thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to spend time with Collin and his family. Your prayers, love and healing thoughts are felt by each of us!

Please add Baby Haleigh to your prayers; she was born to our good friends, the Hinkles, on Saturday and she is having some medical issues as well!

HEY EVERYONE!! I just got a text message from Grandma Lora! Collin is out of surgery and in the recovery room. Surgery went FANTASTIC and Grandma reports that he now has 126 cm of intestine! She says that this is GREAT news!

Erin was able to see Baby Collin and he lifted his head when he heard her voice!

Erin, Matt, Grandma Lora, and all the rest want to thank everyone for their prayers. Lora will a better update when time allows.

WOO HOO Collin!

Way to go, Baby Collin!

Fantastic news!

I heard you pulled through, and out of, surgery with flying colors and that everything went perfectly.

But then... I never expected anything less, from such a perfect and beautiful boy! (*)

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery, Darlin'
...with as little pain as possible!

(*) ~ I must say, tho, that I was somewhat worried for you and Mommy and family this morning.

While I was saying prayers for you, on the treadmill this morning, I was sweating more than usual!

Sweating bullets in fact! LOL
And now such good news!

P.S. Baby Haleigh Hinkle has definitely been added to my prayers.

I truly hope and pray that her medical issues aren't too big and that she is on her way to total recovery.

She and her family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Good Luck, Darling Haleigh...
and Welcome to the World!

I ran up to the hospital and spent the last hour and a half with Collin and Grandma Lora. Last night was a bit rough for Collin and Mommy and Daddy were really tired so they were getting some sleep.

Collin is very groggy and of course in some pain. And who wants to have all those tubes around your feet and nose? But he looks REALLY good. His color is nice and pink and he is very alert when he opens his eyes.

He is getting comfort from holding Grandma Lora's hand and listening to her whisper to him. Hopefully he will be able to get some rest today.

Lora again thanks everyone for their prayers and support.
