Awww, it makes me so sad that he's getting so big and we're so far away! I can hardly believe a year has almost gone by! Collin will be One Year Old in 5 days...where did all the time go?

Gawd! He's such a cutie. Erin, its so fun to look at these pictures and then look at the ones that I have from when you were that age. Last night I worked on an album from 1987 and 1988. I have about 4 pages from when your family came to visit us in Texas. You were SO cute and silly! I sent you some of the extras. You should be getting them soon.

Don't be too envious. I don't enjoy paper scrapbooking like I used to. Not enough time. But, I've got about six years of print photos that I still need to get into books so I just power crop...slap some paper on the page, throw on the photos, add a sticker if I have one nearby and move on. CM would be SO disappointed in me!
My preference now is the digital method where I end up with a nice sleek coffeetable book. Takes me less than an hour to do an entire album... gotta love technology!
Next time you come back, you need to come over and raid my supplies and we can crop for a while.

Collin, I can't believe you are going to be ONE in only two days!!
Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy and I (and your Aunties, of course) are signed up to do a fundraising walk to benefit the March of Dimes. We've decided that we're going to try and do it every year, as thanks for all that the MOD does for babies. One year ago, Mommy, Daddy & I were sitting in mama's hospital room, watching American Idol. I knew I already loved you, boy was I in for a BIG surprise the next morning!!
I will go to sleep with a giant smile on my face, knowing that tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year!

Happy Birthday, wonderful boy! I know you had a great day with mommy & daddy...your first haircut, your first cake, first fingerpainting. I also heard you got to have your birthday dinner with Gigi and Great Grampa! Gigi said you were so darn cute and had lots of fun throwing your toys off the side of the highchair. We are still planning on having your birthday party here in Sahuarita, we are so looking forward to your visit!!
