Hi!!! I apologize for not updating the blog in the past few day. Collin didn’t do so well with the peas. Since then we’ve tried carrots ( which he loved!) and Green beans! He’s liked both of those, guess he’s just not a pea man!haha Today, we went to GG’s house and Collin played with his cousins and other family members. Well, I don’t have much to say other than he’s doing great! Here’s a couple pictures!!!! Love you all!!!!

Erin!

Thanks for all those pictures. He is growing so fast! I've decided he has Matt's nose. I don't know Erin,... was that last picture peas or greenbeans? Whatever it was, that's not a very convincing look on his face!

I've worked the last 4 days and over that time was able to share his progress w/ Dr's Wispe, Cahan and Green, as well as NNP's Jane and Pat .... everyone was thrilled. Dr Cahan said to tell you it was just great and she was REALLY glad to hear that! (she was excited) and Dr Wispe just had a big smile on his face (at the end of a 36 hour shift from hell, I told him he's too OLD for that!). Dr Green was surprised he had 60cm of bowel upon opening. He said he thinks of Collin often. Pat and Jane were all very happy to know Collin will probably now lead a normal life. As I said, we love to hear the good stories!

Good to hear from you and everyone at the NICU!!! The last picture was the first time Collin got baby food! It was peas!hahaha He's doing much better with the baby food. Have you guys had many more babies with Gastroschisis since we've left?

I don't know Erin. Every time your little cutie smiles for the camera I think he looks more and more like you when you were little. I wish I had more real prints of the photos I have in my head (memories frozen in time) of you at that age and a little older. Also think he favors his grandpa Tom in the picture on his lap. Don't worry Matt, I think he still looks like you too. Guess the similarities are just testitment to what a good looking family you have!\\Tam

Tam, you're not the only one who thinks Collin favors his G. Gpa Tom...I hear that all the time.

I am so thrilled with our little cutie, I can hardly find the words!lol I am so glad the cousins were able to enjoy him this past weekend...it looked like he enjoyed them, too!

Love and miss you all so much!

Erin,

(He's holding up his head so well! How is he doing developmentally?)
I believe we had 1 Gastroschisis that just went home, had alot of good bowel. And one that we've had maybe 3 months that I believe I heard Dr Green will be doing a step procedure on. I haven't been involved w/ their care, as I have 2 primaries @ this point.

love,

Erin,

Let me correct that last remark, I may have heard that Dr Connor will be doing the STEP.

I agree he looks like Superman. (His auntie Sophia was lobbying for him to be Superman for Halloween.) That would have made a hilarious picture!

I love the pictures of the cousins and his great-auntie Coco. He is such a happy boy. (Doesn't that chubby little neck just cry out to be kissed?!) The plaid outfit is adorable and he looks so happy in that Baby Einstein exersaucer! Baby Collin is definitely a very special little boy.

Sher,
That's sad, we want you to be Collin's nurse!!! :) If you would like, you can tell the family about Collin and give them his blog info. By the way, someone should tell them about Omaha!!!! ;)
