Sunday, May 6 (Mother's Day, Sort of)

Today we were able to celebrate an early Mother's Day with Collin's mom and dad. The weather was beautiful, the food was wonderful and we were all happy to be together again. Collin's Aunties S and A were especially happy to be able to frolic with their older sister.

Knowing that the road ahead will be long and we won't expect to see Erin and Collin until the end of June is hard; we are sending them with our prayers and all our love.

Your words of encouragement, prayers, comments and calls are so appreciated! However, Erin and Matt need to be able to focus on their new environment and the changes it will bring. Therefore, please resist calling or texting them until they get a chance to call or text you first. We will update this blog as we get word and Collin's other grandparents can update you as well. Thank you for understanding! God bless you all!

Happy early Mother's Day! How awesome that you were able to have that family time. You could tell by the pictures just how nice it was outside (of couse all of the beautiful people in them shined as well)! Erin sure is a beauty and it was great to see "Grandpa N." in some pictures finally! Good luck and I will continue to check daily for updates!

Um, Grandma N (Mom)... you really need to step out from behind that camera once in a while! Miss seeing your smiling face. ;)

Erin, you know that the love and energy of all of us travels with you. We understand your need to focus on Collin and respect that. Know that we are all here for you, whether physically or in prayer, and we trust that you know you can call on any one of us at anytime.

We send you off on your flight this morning, surrounding that plane with love and prayers.

Tiffany, the pictures of Grandpa N and Collin's mom were cute weren't they? Anonymous, I was in a photo, but my bandaged face took away from the lovely picture so I didn't add it to the blog! ha ha Thank you for your perfect message to Erin!

I kept Grandpa N up all night because I kept reaching out to answer a phone (that was not ringing) in my sleep and knocking everything off the night table. I was also dreaming that I was text-messaging with both hands and then my thumbs started to spasm in my sleep! lol

I imagine Erin and Matt didn't sleep much better!! (They were staying at the hospital overnight in case the plane left earlier than planned.) The pod where Collin was last staying is the quietest one in the NICU, but that isn't saying a whole lot!

Good luck with your move and please try and keep us updated as much as you can as I know you will be busy.

Hugs and safe rides,

May all Collin's and his family's angels accompany them on this leg of their journey together. May Collin be surrounded in God's healing love and be fully prepared to receive all the support and help he needs to be lifted to a new level of wellness and wholeness.

Thinking of you all....
