Friday, June 8

Collin was admitted back into the hospital yesterday afternoon. It was determined, after a scope was performed, that he has a small ulcer on the inside of his stomach, near the site of his g-tube. It was causing him to have blood in his stools and in his emesis; which of course, is upsetting for his mom and for his grandma when she heard about it long distance!

Thankfully all is well and Collin was a gurgling, smiling, cooing bundle of joy this morning. He now weighs 11 lbs, 2 oz and is about 22 inches long. He is now getting 19 mL an hour, continuously, in addition to a 1 oz bottle of formula every three hours.

We are counting the days until we are with them again (at the end of June) and looking forward to a time when Mommy has the computer so she can email us pictures of our gorgeous boy. Thank you for continuing to visit and continuing to hold our family up in your prayers! God bless you all.

"God alone is enough."
Let nothing upset you,
let nothing startle you.
All things pass;
God does not change.
Patience wins
all it seeks.
Whoever has God
lacks nothing:
God alone is enough.

St. Teresa of Avila

Glad to read he's gurgling and cooing again and getting such immediate medical attention as needed! Thinking of you both!

Thanks for the update. I love seeing the pictures. Collin looks very alert and completely engaged in life. He is really soaking up every little nuance from those around him.
